The company gathered upward of 200 industry professionals to ring in the holidays and celebrate cannabis culture.
Nothing is more important to the DIZPOT culture than inclusivity, teamwork and bettering the community. To ring in the season, DIZPOT, the country’s most renowned packaging and technology company, created a new cannabis holiday and dubbed it 1130.
The idea was created by company co-founders John Hartsell (Harts) and Jeff Scrabeck who combined the dates of two renowned cannabis holidays, 420 and 710. Of course, 420 is the one of the oldest cannabis holidays and celebrated by consumers all over the world, and 710 is a holiday specific to cannabis oil and concentrates. When added together, 420 plus 710, equals 1130.
"We made history by creating a new cannabis holiday! Thank you to everyone who attended," said co-founder and COO Jeff Scrabeck.
This year, the DIZPOT team hosted their first 1130 celebration with a legendary get together. The party at the company's Phoenix headquarters included 200 cannabis industry movers and shakers, a “Moon Rock Drop”, art exhibit and auctions to benefit a non-profit, networking, live entertainment on a full size stage, food, drinks, vendors and fun. Tours of the office were given by Traci Black, Director of Operations, for guests to see the ins and outs of the company’s culture and office life.

Staying on brand, the DIZPOT team’s diverse and eventful celebration highlighted clients, employees, and the community. This new event brought people from all walks of life together in celebration of something everyone mutually loves; the cannabis plant.

In tandem with the party and festivities, DIZPOT gathered local artists and several bands including The Conveyors, Sean Zen & Jared Gabriel. CEO John Hartsell was the life of the party as the master of ceremonies, and even had his own live musical performance.

One of DIZPOT’s true passions is helping the community and supporting local artists.
In partnership with Nature’s Medicines to raise donations for Tom’s Palms, a local non-profit that provides resources to the less fortunate, DIZPOT auctioned off a painting created by one of its own talented employees, Paige Turncliff. The painting sold for $600 to the artist, and DIZPOT matched the bid to donate to Tom’s Palms. During the evening, a total of $600 was raised overall for the local non-profit.

One of the most exciting parts of the evening was the “Moon Rock Drop.” A gigantic 24” round Moon Rock was filled with products and swag donated by Arizona favorites: Hippie Chicks, Tipsy Turtle, Sublime, JARS, and others. AZ Green Life donated CBD punch for guests to enjoy throughout the night.

Attendees rocked the night away with live music, chatted with old and new friends, and of course enjoyed the plant that everyone in the industry is so passionate about.
Thank You Sponsors
None of this would have been possible without the support from local cannabis industry professionals, brands and the community.

Thank you to the Hippie Chicks, Tipsy Turtle, Sublime, JARS, and AZ Green Life teams for donating products to the event.
If you missed the DIZPOT 1130 celebration or attended and want to participate again, stay tuned for November 30, 2022.
